Amy has taught at California State University, San Bernardino in the Department of Kinesiology since 1996. The Department of Kinesiology promotes that physical activity and movement are fundamental to human vitality, growth, development and maturation. Movement, in its various forms, provides meaningful experiences for individuals and has significance for their societies. The California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) Kinesiology Program provides degrees in exercise science, pedagogy, and pre-physical therapy. The end goal is to develop students who will make constructive changes in an ever-evolving field of Kinesiology and the world as a whole. Specifically, Amy teaches Foundations for Lifetime Wellness and Yoga Class at CSUSB.
If you are not admitted to the university but would like to take Yoga Activity Course for college credit you can sign-up through Open University/ College of Extended Learning at CSUSB. You are also welcome to take Professional Preparatory Yoga, which prepares educators to teach yoga postures to young adults in Physical Education Class. Amy also teaches Foundations of Lifetime Fitness and Wellness, a large lecture class that provides the fundamentals of how to care for oneself in a holistic manner.
Amy teachers a course called Professional Preparatory Yoga at California State University. Although yoga is so much more than the postures- this course focuses on how to teach the postures in a classical way and to sequence an asana course in a safe manner.
